The Northlands is the icy region north of Surdana. According to Arokh, the ancient city of Meridia used to be in this cold expanse. The icy wilderness of the Northlands are treacherous and have a way of "weeding out the unwary."
The Northlands is home to the Northmen who dwell in the fortress at Ravenshold. Beyond Ravenshold is the never-ending Northern Tundra.
